What sustainability means to us.

Sustainability can mean many things. To us, it’s about minimizing our environmental impact, championing diversity and inclusion, promoting health equity, and operating in a robust, ethical manner that allows us to grow in a way that benefits everyone.

Our approach to sustainability is shaped by global trends and our commitment to doing the right thing. We recognize the enormous, complex challenges our societies face and are determined to address them wherever we can.

Our approach to sustainability.

We’re committed to being fully transparent in our reporting so that we can be held to account. Below is how we respond to the relevant transparency frameworks, rating agencies, and applicable benchmarks.

CDP

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, and regions to manage their environmental impacts.

Inizio’s Climate Change CDP score for 2023 is a B.

Inizio’s Climate Change CDP score for 2022 is a C.

UN Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative that supports global companies to align their strategies and operations with the universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.

Since 2022, Inizio has been a signatory to the UN Global Compact. We report our progress in implementing the ten universal principles, by completing the Communication of Progress annually.

Science Based Targets

The Science Based Targets initiative is a partnership between CDP, the UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

Inizio’s near-term (2031) science-based targets have been approved by the SBTi and classified as in line with a 1.5°C trajectory.

GRI

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is an independent, international body that helps businesses and other organizations take responsibility for their impacts by providing them with a global common language to communicate those impacts.

This report has been prepared with reference to GRI standards.

TCFD

The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, established by the Financial Stability Board, is a reporting framework based on a set of consistent disclosure recommendations. These allow companies to be transparent about their climate-related risk exposure.

We report in line with the TCFD framework.

EcoVadis

EcoVadis is a universal sustainability ratings agency designed to drive impact at scale by guiding sustainability performance improvements within companies and their value chain.

Many of our businesses have obtained silver EcoVadis scorecards. At parent company level, Inizio Group scored 48/100. In 2024, we will be submitting our second Group wide assessment to EcoVadis.
